ORVA is a 100% plant-based, leather-like material developed for hospitality and lifestyle products. It gives the appearance and handle of leather with no animal leather, no PU, no plastic and no rubber. It is fully vegan.
Key facts
- 100% plant-based material
- 100% vegan: no animal leather or animal products
- No PU, no plastic, no rubber
- Material performance tested by Bureau Veritas
- Stitched with RPET recycled thread
- Materials selected in line with REACH (SVHC)
- Bonded with water-based adhesive
How ORVA differs from other vegan leathers
Most vegan leathers are made with PU (polyurethane) or PVC, which are plastics. They avoid animal leather but replace it with plastic. ORVA contains no PU and no plastic, so it is plant-based as well as vegan.
Finishes
ORVA is available in a range of colours and surface finishes, including smooth leather-look, embossed, woven, geometric, croc-effect and quilted textures. Logos and property names can be applied for branded programmes.
Why hotels choose ORVA
- A leather-like finish for guest-facing pieces without animal leather or plastic
- Supports sustainability commitments in procurement and design briefs
- Durable for daily use in rooms, restaurants and bars
- One material across the property, from door hangers to bar tools, for a consistent look
Products with other components
Some products combine ORVA with other components. Bar and wine accessories have a stainless steel core wrapped in ORVA, and some pieces use metal fittings such as zips, rings or corners. These are listed on each product page.
